 My squash plants were annihilated by powdery mildew. I cut the affected leaves (about 75% of the plant's leaves) and they never grew back and are july dying and wilting away. It's late in the season but how can I prevent it next year? Also, I want to plant some Butternut squash for fall but I'm afraid they will succumb to the same demise. What should I do?

Hi there:)

A photo of the problem plant sure would help but for next year make sure to water your plants right at there base. The powdery mildew comes normally from water on the leaves.

Hope that helps my friend!
