ICE CREAM BUCKET, BREAD AND BUTTER CUCUMBERS

Slice cucumbers and onions to fill the ice cream bucket up to the ridge.

Bring to a full boil together:
1 tsp. Celery Seed
1 tsp. Mustard Seed
4 C. Sugar
2 C. Cider Vinegar
2 Tbs. Pickling Salt,
Optional:
1 tsp. Turmeric
or 1 tsp Dill Weed.

Allow the brine to cool completely. Then pour over the cucumbers and onions.
Keep the lid on, in the refrigerator and add cucumbers as you harvest them.
If you need more brine just make another batch and pour in the ice cream bucket.

I like to score the skins on my cucumbers but it is not necessary. But I have a cool tool I have had for many years that I enjoy using. *smile*
