TOPIC: Transplanting Squash & Pumpkins mid season.

Transplanting Squash & Pumpkins mid season. 15 Jul 2014 13:05 #2024

We got a late start on planting this year and we are just starting to get zucchini. I was able to buy a green house recently and it's going to be located where the beehives and zucchini, yellow crook neck, sugar pumpkin and rhubarb plants currently are. What would be the consequences of transplanting them this late in the season?

I attached a picture to give an idea of the size of the plants.

Hi Yellow:)

Nice-looking growing area! I'm planting that really depends on where you are in the season and what country. Those are more spring summer plants so the temperatures need to be a bit higher. Let me know where you're located and I can give you a better estimate.

I fixed your photo so now it shows on the forum:)

No problem at all my friend:) So, Seattle is going to start getting cold not too long from now so you should start planting winter crops soon. The website below is where you can put in your ZIP Code and it will tell you what you should be planting both now and coming up. Try it out and let me know if it's accurate to your area!
