Finally all ten raised beds are in place. Eight are 3ft x 2 feet. One is 3x3 and one is 2x2.

Most of my tiny back yard is a slope. I put the bed a few inches back from the retaining wall and dug into the slope a bit. Six are new and I am just now getting compost into them. Next year I will be better prepared to grow.

I have tried uploading photos to Flickr and adding them, but no luck after 30 minutes, so no embedded photos this time. I am attaching them as attachments. I need to figure it out.

We have a video that shows how to attach and photos. Watch it here! That video will cover everything about the forum but if you want to see specifically how to attach photos skip ahead to 4:09...

I want to see more for sure!

Matt,
I watched the videos. I have a degree in Computer Science and use the web all the time. I kept attaching photos, but the name would not change. It was always the first photo's name. I do not know if it is the iMac or Safari or just plain me.

Wow! So great looking and I love that they are so high with that retaining wall:) If you could not tell by now I have a bad back so a higher bed would be awesome! Ha ha ha!

If you followed the video I have for the forum then maybe it is your browser:(

How is the heat on the soil Lora? Also, will you be adding trellises? I am really loving the look of these and I bet they last for a long time:)

I already added trellises. It might be hard to see them in the photo. They are dark green.
I live in San Diego, so heat is not a problem so far. When I was building the raised beds, I could pick one up that had been in full sun without feeling any heat to mention. Some of the plants' leaves touch the metal sides and there is no damage.

Yes, this is my first year using the raised beds. Hoem Farm Ideas Facebook group and this web page got me interested in gardening again. I even have a worm composter and home made compost bin from a trash can.

The garden has brought a lot of joy to my life. Plus, I just love my worms. They eat so fast.
