My son is a wheelchair user and enjoys helping in the garden. When he was smaller and used a smaller chair, we could easily put him on the ground to work in the traditional garden or he could reach it more easily from his smaller chair. Now that he's gotten bigger, it's just too difficult for him to enjoy time gardening the traditional garden at ground level. This year, we decided to build a garden area that was his own. His younger sister enjoys helping, but this area is all his. He has sweet pepper, banana pepper, cherry tomato, basil, dill and some radishes in these containers. Everything is set up just high enough to wheel under.

I just love this JenC!! My little niece has CP and I am praying she can function enough to garden with her mom and her uncle Matt (me):) She is a cutie to say the least! Ha ha ha!

I just love your sons smiling face! :)

I found some great plans online from a teacher in TX who builds her own table gardens. I adapted her plans to make them taller for my use, but they can easily be adjusted to any height. Here's a pic of mine. I found the plans at Raised Urban Gardens.

I'd say each bed cost $40-50 to build, and has 12 square feet of garden space.
