Hi and welcome to
Home Farm Ideas!
We are very grateful to have you join our little community page! We wanted to put this page together to help you navigate the site a bit and as time goes on we will add to it. We want to make this as easy as we can for each one of you so bear with us. This site has been a long time in the making and I hope that we can all really help each other over the years as we have been doing on all our other social media sites. Lets get right to it!
I made a video to help you better understand how to use main parts of the site but I also have quick links below along with screen shots. Watch the video and if you have any questions you can post at the bottom of this page! VIEW VIDEO IN FULL SCREEN TO SEE EVERYTHING GOOD! I will be updating the video as time goes on.

Lets take a look at some of the links listed below on the image of the Home Farm Ideas front page so we can be a bit more familiar with them.

Articles Section: - ( top of the page )
This area is where the fun can really happen! You can help people big time by writing some articles based on what you have learned about all the categories in the article section! I know we all have something to offer to this area and I am looking forward to seeing articles on building chicken coops, the best way to prune your tomato plants, breeding fish in a diy aquaponic system, making pickles from cucumbers you grow yourself, all the way down to making your own bar soaps. We are only limited by our imaginations:) We will be adding more and more main categories along side "GARDENING", "CHICKENS", "AQUAPONICS", "THE FOOD", and "HOMEMADE". I know "LIVESTOCK" will be in the makings so bear with us. Now each main category has it's on subcategories. CHICKENS is selected in the image below and as you can see there are lots of subcategories to the left of that image.
Then there is the "SUGGEST A CATEGORY" link. Click there and you will be taken to the forum section where you can suggest a category for the area just above the "SUGGEST A CATEGORY" link in "This area covers:".
I will be adding a link to a page that will show us how to use the article editor. By clicking the "Create Article" button we are taken to the article editor.
That takes us to the area where your articles you write will show up on the category you choose. Think of a shot but sweet article name, choose a category you think it should be posted to, then save it. An admin will have to approve it only because we want to keep spam as low as we can.

Forum Section: - ( top of the page )
The forum area is for those of us that have questions on just about anything to do with homesteading! We have got 1,000 of questions over the years and we have answered those same questions lots and lots of times over again. Now all members can really help each other by jumping right in and answer each others questions in this area:) as you guys know all members are at different levels of skill (when it comes to homesteading) and thankfully there are lots of you out there that are willing to help!

Now that you have looked over our whole welcome page you are ready to start writing your very own articles and sharing them with the whole world! We are always looking through the articles trying to find something to share with 1,000's of our members on facebook page;)
Also make your way over to our forum and ask all the questions you want. We have lots of pro members always ready to help you out! If you are already doing a great job being a homesteader head over to the forum and jump right in when you can see someone you can help.
Be sure to "Introduce yourself!" to everyone on the forum. Just look for the ( NEW TOPIC ) button!
